FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED

In 1963 when the Rothschild family purchased the A&W Rootbeer Stand, eating out was simpler than it is today. Back then, there was no inside seating; carhops would walk out to take the customers’ orders at their car, and when they returned with food, they clipped a tray onto the car window, then came back to take it off when the customer was finished. Our menu was very basic then – burgers, fries, hot dogs, and rootbeer.
